We are proud to announce our collaboration with the National Association of Licensed Paralegals (NALP), the UK’s leading paralegal membership body.

This partnership signifies a shared commitment to empowering paralegals and fostering a thriving legal community. By working together, BARBRI and NALP will unlock new opportunities for NALP members, helping to advance their careers and support their professional goals.

Through our partnership, NALP members will benefit from a comprehensive suite of resources designed to propel their legal careers forward. Upon completing and passing the first part of the BARBRI Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE1), NALP members will also exclusively receive Associate Membership status with NALP.  Additionally, they will gain access to valuable webinars and resources specifically tailored to their career development as well as a 10% discount towards their SQE1 at BARBRI.

Our new professional development short courses are also undergoing endorsement by NALP, ensuring a mark of quality for their learning journey.

Speaking about the partnership Jane Robson, CEO of NALP said: “A career as a paralegal can be highly rewarding and give you the opportunity to work in a variety of sectors, dealing with a wide range of different legal issues.

“Some paralegals, having discovered their passion for the law, are interested in using their qualifications and experience to become solicitors. To do this they need to complete the SQE, and this is where our partnership with BARBRI is so important.

“Our aim to support our members to create the career that’s best for them, and giving them options for their future, is all part of that. We are very much looking forward to working with BARBRI and helping members who wish to, to take the BARBRI SQE exams.”

Robert Dudley, Head of Employability & Engagement at BARBRI said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with NALP as the leading paralegal membership association to help showcase career development opportunities to their members, particularly through the SQE.

“We support a large number of paralegals each year through this route to qualification, and our two organisations are committed to opening access to the profession whilst helping in supporting individual’s career ambitions.

“It’s a testament to the quality and rigour of our SQE Prep course that NALP has also recognised SQE1 for NALP Associate Membership; a really valuable benefit to BARBRI SQE students.”
